What is the fortune teller symbol significance?

This was asked on Boardgamegeek.com what is the answer?
In panel 152 we are told "...search well: you will find a passage. Sink into the dark forest and add 47 to the number of lines you see under this symbol."
After finishing the entire adventure, I'm wondering what this clue was supposed to do for us. We find the hidden passage in panel 24, which eventually leads us to panel 80 where we find the symbol. There is exactly one line under the symbol, but turning to panel 48 just puts us on a path back towards the beginning of the adventure. I thought of combining the 1 and 47 to get 147 but that panel also leads us back to areas we've already been. The only way to finish the book is by ignoring that symbol!
What am I missing? What panel is that symbol supposed to lead us to?
